Setting off the Season
Black Friday was very successful. After 8 hours shopping, we only have 2 gifts left to buy. Whoo Hoo!!!! Whats even better is that I set a budget, took cash and actually came home with some of the money left over! While I shopped with my Brother, Sister and Mom, Ryan and the kids put the lights up on the exterior of the house.
Last night we met our friends Clint and Christina at the Mission Inn for the lighting and Christmas Tree contest. We walked around and enjoyed all the fabulous decorating, listened to carolers, met and talked to Santa and got coco at Starbucks.
This morning we started the day off at a Alumni Water Polo game at our Alma Matter. Holly and Charlie met us there and we watched the game like old times. Then we came home and unpacked the Christmas boxes, set up the tree and decorated the house from top to bottom while listening to Christmas carols. For dinner we had Thanksgiving dinner take two. YUM! For some reason it's always better the second time around.
Tonight I'm gonna finish sealing up my Christmas letter, while Ryan does some homework.
Tomorrow we'll work on some Christmas gifts and celebrate Roxanne's birthday.
I love this time of year when we can surround ourselves with family and friends and be thankful for everything that God has blessed us with.
