Ramblings about last week.
* I miss my sister and her family already. Not sure who I miss more, because I love them all for such different reasons. I even love her husband and his constant teasing of me!
* I lost 2.4 pounds at weigh in last Thursday. :)
* Ryan purchased 8 really good tickets for a ANGELS game from a brokers website. We feel like we stole them!
* There's a new person living in our house. More of that mystery to follow another time. (No, I'm not pregnant)
* Christian got his new glasses, which coincidentally are identical to his last pair. But it's still exciting to get new.
* Sleeping in a hotel room with your brother can be quit comical. Lights out laughing remembering our childhood. However I would like it to be at least another 10 years before it's necessary to share a room again.
* Ryan's brother, Brayton, turned the big 3-0.
* The kids had a adventurous first week of spring break, doing something different everyday!
* Big changes are happening at my work and I'm not really happy about them
* Went to a quaint little candy store that sells the most interesting collective of old time candy. They had everything from the old fashioned candy cigarette's, to cabbage patch cards with gum.
We're 4 hours into our journey back home. Talk about a short trip with alot of driving.
Just left the hospital and arrived at our little hole in the wall hotel and it's 10pm....What a long day! I don't think I've EVER seen 4am before and I'm pretty sure I don't wanna see it again!
Surgery went really good. Michael was such a trooper and very brave... Going into the procedure his pulse was 47 beats per minute and now after having the pacemaker for only a few short hours his pulse is 80! Amazing! Thank-God for modern medicine and good doctors! He hasn't eaten since yesterday at midnight so he's dying for In-N-Out burger. His order is a cheeseburger and a strawberry shake.
A good end to a long stressful day.
As previously posted my nephew, Michael is having surgery today at 2:30 to have a pacemaker put in. My Sister and her family live 9 hours away in a tiny little town.
After much discussion and praying, I decided along with my Brother, Eric, to head up North to be there during the surgery. Our parents were already planning to make the trip, so 4:00am this morning my Dad picked us both up and we're on our way.
Currently we are in the middle of no where, all I can see is olive fields and the occasional cow on a empty sprawling pasture.
This should be interesting, since the four of us haven't been together without our spouses, probably since we moved out at the ages of 18....
I will fill you in after the surgery later today. Thanks for all the prayers and warm thoughts.
My family needs mass prayers and thoughts.
My Nephew, Michael's heart surgery didn't go as planned yesterday. While doing the scheduled procedure, the doctors discovered a birth defect in his heart.
The O.R. is now scheduled for him to undergo heart surgery to install a pacemaker tomorrow.
Talked to my girlfriend, michelle, who lives in Washington today and all I have to say is, I want in on the Ice Cream and Margarita action!
I miss her and "The Man".....
Sometimes WAITING is so miserable! We're WAITING to hear if my nephew, Michael, is out of heart surgery and if everything went ok.
Prayers and thought help.
My Brother, Roxanne and kids came over to color Easter Eggs on Saturday night....We ate some Chinese food and attempted to color the BROWN eggs that Ryan purchased. No comment on that one!
The kids had fun and shockingly they didn't dye themselves. We made it through the whole process with the spills.
Then Sunday morning the Easter bunny came!
After church we went over to Eric and Roxanne's house for Easter Dinner and Nana's annual Easter egg hunt. The chicklings could hardly contain themselves waiting for the hunt to begin. At one point this is how I found the girls waiting...
But before the HuNt could begin Nana, Vanessa and her boyfriend had the hide the eggs.
The the kids were off...
I also managed to squeeze in a great family picture.
So, over the weekend I shared details about the PrOm DrEsS Shopping Day and I thought you light like to see pictures. Ok, so I can't actually show the "REAL DRESSES", however I can show you a sneak peek of the colors.
Aren't they beautiful? I think she's now leaning more towards the blue one, but, who knows. Teenagers seems to change their minds every two seconds.... Maddy finally picked this cute polka-dot dress for herself...
She also had to try on some of Nessa's dresses. This was her favorite, because it was sparkly....
Wow! Do you know that people really read this?
