UGH! I quit!?@!!
After reading Tamzen's blog, I decided to do my own virtual tour of our home in surburbia.
It's comfortable and extremely kid friendly. My decorating taste is summed up in one word...
COLOR
So let the tour begin.
A weeks worth of cleaning out rooms and prepping for a yard sale.
Get up and sit in the driveway at 6:00a.m. until 1:00p.m.
Pack up the remaining items and drive them to the local Thrift store.
Make $191.00 dollars.
Walk 4 houses down and spend $200.00 at their yard sale.
Our find?
Yep a Thomas the Train table with tons of tracks and somewhere on the upside of 30 plus trains. This will be what I like to call "free babysitting" of two little people for many hours.....

The kids and their Grandma Judy have had new pets. They've been taking care of caterpillars that eventually made cocoons and then became butterflies all in shoe boxes. Yesterday was THE DAY according to their little birth paperwork to release them into the wild.
Christian's flew up and over the house the minute he opened his box, but Maddy's was alittle timid and wasn't so sure about leaving. Which was good because it gave the 7 of us plenty of time to watch it and take pictures. After a few minutes if finally spread it's big orange and black wings and flew away. What a great project and a good learning lesson for the kids. Next will be tadpoles I think.* Got off work at 5pm
* played with the chicklings for alittle bit
* cleaned and organized for this weekends garage sale
* mother-in-law came over for dinner
* dishes and a load of laundry
* shaved my husbands head
* got to sit down for the first time at 9pm
A Moms job is never done. I swear I work two FULL time jobs, but I wouldn't trade it in a million years....Time for a bubble bath and "The Other Boylen Girl" book.
Today I received a email from a good friend that made me cry. I love those kind. The ones that are so touching that you get goose bumps.
The moral behind the email was as follows:
"Watch your thoughts, they become words. Watch your words, they become actions. Watch your actions, they become habits. Watch your habits, they become character. Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny. Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle."
These thoughts are so true. I think about it and I'm a daughter, sister, wife, mother, friend, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, employee and an employer. Every person I come in contact with I need to remember to apply these simple thoughts.
Nana took Makenna for a special day last week. The occasion you ask? It was "Makenna Day", of course!
So they spent the day doing Nana's errands of the pet store and the grocery store, got Kenna some new pj's and Barbie's at the Disney store and then had lunch. While in the restaurant parking lot Nana said, "Boy something doesn't smell very good". Makenna wrinkled her little nose and said very matter of fact, "Oh that was God he had gas".
Today is the day.
The procrastinated DENTIST appointment.
I've been on antibiotics for 3 weeks for a abscess.
Today will be a root canal.
My palms are sweaty and I'm nauseous.
I asked of they could just pull the tooth out to avoid the root canal, but I was shot down.
I loathe, no hate the dentist!
