Ryan took me to lunch at the Olive Garden today. We both got soup, salad and bread-sticks.
As lunch was almost coming to an end, he reached across the table for a bread stick and then eyed me...
"You ate the bread-sticks?" He asked
"Yep, you put carbs in front of me and I'm just like a Hoover vacuum". I replied
I read on my girlfriends blog that while watching tattoo shows she feels tattoo envy.
So on that note, yes my first one hurt like a B%&$@, I would like to get another one. I contemplate where or what. Sometime I think maybe something in a 6 sequence to represent my family, or a small wedding band under my real wedding band, or maybe a small butterfly on the nape of my neck?
All I'm saying is I'll go with you, if you promise not to laugh because I have been known to fAiNt!
Today a florist delivered me a beautiful bouquet of white lillys from Stacey (my oldest friend whom I hold close to my heart).
Why? Because she loves me.
Thanks, Stac I love you too!
When someone has something they wanna say to me how come they call Ryan? This tends to be the theme with some people and I find it to be irritating. If it's about me or involves questioning something I've said or done, then pick up the phone and call me. UGH! It's so frustrating, talk about a never ending circle.
2.3 pounds lost. Bringing my total to 8.9 and can I just say that going to the gym at 9:00 at night isn't very wise. I had the hardest time rolling out of bed this morning!
OK, so last week I skipped sharing my weekly weight post. Why? Because, well.... the scales suck. To put it plainly. I don't understand why GOD blessed my brother with such fantastic metabolism and then there is me.
Anyways this week I am please to report a 1.6 pound weight loss bringing my total to 6.6 pounds!
I have maintained my 5 mile a week walks and eating healthy and feel really good. Now we'll be adding in the gym to our routine so that should help!
Us girls got together on Sunday and made Christmas candy. Ryan said it was "way too much estrogen in one little kitchen". He was feeling kinda overwhelmed by having 7 females under one roof.
Roxanne, Mom and I planned to Bake, Bake, Bake and then we roped Joanne into cooking too! Maddy stirred occasionally, but in reality she was just a excellent taste tester!
Vanessa sat at the bar and "did her homework" so she said. I think she really sat there to observe and make fun of us ordering each-other around and burning ourselves. More then once she said we were a "comedy routine".
Roxanne counted and said we used 49 sticks of real butter. I'm pretty sure we all gained weight just handling that much lard!
Our day produced:
8 batches of butterscotch haystacks
7 batches of toffee
18 batches of peanut brittle
6 batches of fudge
6 batches of white chocolate Christmas bark
and a partridge and a pear tree......
A little conversation with my Mom today.
"Tammie, is that MY white sweater I've been searching for? I told your father my little white sweater was missing and he told me I was crazy". Said Mom
Giggling I replied, "Yes, it looks good on me, don't you think?"
********* Guess somethings never change. I may not live under roof anymore, but, I still borrow your clothes, shoes, etc. For some reason the borrow part always manages to transition into a keep part? Weird.
Saturday night I invited my parents over for a YUMMY homemade dinner. They were so excited because it was the first home cooked meal they had in over a month. Their in the midst of remodeling their entire downstairs, which includes the kitchen.
So what was on the menu? Well I made...
Blue cheese crusted filet mignon steaks,
Mashed potato's, really creamy, with sour cream and chives
Waldorf salad
Flat bread broiled and smothered with butter
It was SO delicious! My Dad said it was perfect, like going to a restaurant. So I told him, next time it will be the $99.00 special and he can call me Morton. (as in Morton's Steak House)
