Today is my Dad's birthday.
Growing up my Dad was always a hero in my eyes. The strong protector in our family. The man who was always outside working in the back yard or in the garage. The man who would lay on the floor at night to watch The Cosby Show and I would go any lay infront of him snuggled up and laugh at all the same parts he would laugh at. The man would would bake the most delicious chocolate chip cookies the size of muffins. The man who would shot hoops with me. The man who fired me, not once but twice.
Today 29 years later, he's still a hero in my eyes. He's still the man that I look up to. The man we laugh with. The man who still bakes cookies. The man who plays with my children. The man who has loved my Mom and made a happy home giving us kids inspiration for our own marriages. The man who shows us unconditional love.
I love you Dad!
Today is a spacial day.
Today is the day to celebrate someone important.
Someone who has been near and dear to my heart for 12 years.
Today is Charlie's 30th Birthday.
Happy Birthday to one of my Best Friends, I love you!
My mom and I flew up to Washington last weekend for my best friend, Stacey's 30th surprise birthday.
We arrived Friday night and had dinner with Michelle and Janice at Bahama Breeze, where the margaritas are too die for!!!
Saturday we drove out to Tulalip Spa and Casino, where we surprised Stacey and her Mom in the day spa. We walked through the door and Stacey cried! Then of course I cried! We hung out for the day, played some slots where I won $176.00.... yay for me....
Then onto the surprise party in the Players Suite (which Stacey thought was my suite). She opened the door to 40 of her closest friends and family and again cried.
Her cute little cake
Mom and Aunt Vicki at the bar. I personally drank WAAAAY more then I normally would have and learned that I don't like jello shooters, even though I managed to have 3.
The guys loved playing all the random games in the players suite.
Kathy made Stacey open all her gifts.
Stacey and Jessica
Kathy and Bill (Staceys mom and step-dad)
Golf
There was LOTS of pics taken of the two of us
Taking a breather
Stacey and Her Ryan. Kinds funny we each have a Ryan. It makes it easy for us to both yell at each of our guys
Turning the big 30. By the way, just because I can....Let me rub in that I'm still in my twenties!!!! How does it feel to be so old Stac?
The day after the party, we were all moving really slow, but of course, managed to slip in a few hours of shopping at the outlets and then lunch before heading to the airport.
Summer is here and we are in full swing summer mode! Schools out, swimming lessons have begun and vacations are planned....
Our schedules and always packed and there's never a dull moment with four children. Our weekends consist of bbqs, friends, family, celebrations and very rarely is there time to stop and breathe. But, you know what? I love it! I love constantly being surrounded with things to do, people to meet and fun to be had!
So, this week and weekend are no different. Ryan had four nights of summer school, Maddy went to two sleep overs, the babies had swim lessons twice, the kids and I worked on a "secret project" with a good friend, I walked two nights with Michelle and now onto the weekend. Tonight Holly, Charlie and their girls are coming over to hang out and have dinner. Tomorrow my mother-n-law is taking the two little ones to a craft thing, while we take the two older kids bed shopping for Christian. Sunday my husbands family is coming over to celebrate a belated fathers day and Maddy birthday combo and then Monday night we're going to my brothers to celebrate our cousins two June bithdays with a bbq and swimming.
See what I mean. The calander is always full. We are so blessed with a houseful of children, good friends close by and tons of family!
Last Friday night, Maddy wanted to go to dinner and then cosmic bowling for her 8th birthday. Since her big brother, Christian, and cousin Grant are out of town, she decided she wanted to ask Uncle Eric, Aunt Roxanne and Nessa to go and bowl the three of them verses the three of us.
So Aunt Roxanne, said "we would party like 1999", which Maddy thought was funny. So we started our adventure at Bj's restaurant where we were up to our eyeballs in food followed by the worlds largest cookie topped with 6 scoops of vanilla ice cream!
Maddy's eyes about popped out of her head at the sight of her jumbo birthday dessert! Then she opened her gifts.
Then we were off to find, and when I say find, I mean LITERALLY find the bowling ally. You would think this would be an easy task, but it wasn't. The first one we went to was totally full and had an hour wait, so we piled back in the suburban in search of another one. We arrived at one a few miles away and Maddy was throughly pleased that they would be starting their CoSmIc bOwLiNg in an hour.
After we all had on our snazzy bowling shoes we listed our names in the computer and "Butthead" (Eric) was up first.
After 3 frames of totally sucking, we decided to ask for the little bumper rails (which we said we needed for Madyson) and that really improved our game. We all managed to shoot in the hundreds....
Once the lights were out and the fog was thick, Maddy and Nessa proceeded to dance on the lanes!
and Eric showed off his professional bowling stand.....Dad you would be SO proud.
As if Mondays aren't hard enough, just for the simple fact that its the beginning of the week...
Our Monday schedule is chaotic! Guess thats the way it goes with life with four chicklings.
So our Monday run down is:
School
Work
Ballet
Soccer
Speech therapy
Bible Study
Gym (although this one is easy to SKIP)

On a side note Ethan was so adorable when he woke up this morning. He opened his door and both Christian and I told him Happy Birthday! He plopped down on the ground in the hallway and with a pouty face said, "It's my birthday I want to go to Nana's house".
The quiet sound of voice and pouty little face made me think of the saying, "It's my birthday and I'll cry if I want too".
Sunday March 1, we celebrated Ryan's 30th birthday. Crazy to think he's 30 since we've been together since he was 17.
Anyways, we had his family and my family over to my parents house for some delicious Mexican food. (Thus is the reason I will not post anything in regards to my diet loss this week)
Ryan on the other hand has no weight issues and is the junk food junkie in our house so I made him all of his favorites for his special day...
After we ate and visited he blew out the candles on his carrot cake and then opened gifts. I surprised him with 2 tickets to see the Seattle Mariners vs. the Los Angeles Angels at Safeco field. He was so shocked and thankful!
