2 weeks ago today, Ethan traded in his pampers for Winnie the Pooh and Elmo big boy underwares!
At only 27 months this was a shocker, but he wants to be like his big brother and sisters. Oh and the potty candy located in all the medicine cabinets helps too!
Apparently we have learned a trick r two by parenting 4 little ones.
It's so hard being the youngest of four siblings.
Ethan is normally one of two things, either super quiet observing things or super loud being the center of attention.
His moods depend of three things. Christian, Madyson and Makenna.
Ethan is usually Makenna's shadow, so I should have questioned WHY Madyson had him in her room "playing" for over an hour.
Why? Hum, well apparently he is the perfect life size human doll.
We dogsat (again) for my parents. This time for 9 Looonnnnggg days.
Sasha and Tiffany like coming over, but I'm pretty sure they don't like being carried around constantly, being pushed in a stroller, being dressed up in doll clothes or being terrorized every time they sit down by the littlest boy.
Over the weekend I rounded the corner to go into the living room to look for them when I saw this.
Then I realized, wait the white furry things are in there...
It occured to me to lock all four of them up and leave them in there, but before I could Ethan was DONE.
He promptly exited the dog cage and tried to lock Makenna and the puppies in there.
Ethan went to his very first movie yesterday!
Ms. Serena took all four of the chicklings to the movie theater to see, Horton hears a who. She said Ethan was so cute holding his large box of popcorn, sitting there so little in such a large chair... As the lights dimmed and the sound started, Ethan jumped and with his wide eyes said, "Scared, I scared!"
Ms. Serena said he watched the whole thing with those same wide eyes and when it was over and the lights came on, he shrugged his shoulders and whispered, "Scared, I scared!"
Last night all he would tell me is "Scared" and "popcorn", in regards to my movie going questions.
To continue with last weeks tradition of writing about a kid per weekend, this weekend is all about our littlest baby Ethan...Before I go into our Ethan stories, I have to throw out there, that for being our little sickling in the beginning he's now a 100% healthy 19 month old! (He's sitting with us now at the computer. I'm Indian style in the chair typing and he's Indian style in my lap) Now...........
* Last night we set up his "big boy" bed. He immediately climbed in it and started jumping on it!
* Ethan is dubbed the "quiet child", he is very much a patient observer, always sitting quietly watching the other kids. Scares me because, he'll most likely be the mean wild child later.
* Ryan calls Ethan the "shadow". Wherever Makenna is Ethan is two steps behind...
* My favorite thing he says is "Nenna", (for Kenna) He walks around the house yelling "Neeennnnnnnnnaaaaa".
* Ethan has the worlds biggest smile! He's always smiling or laughing. If and when he thinks something is really funny, he'll cover his mouth with his hand and totally exaggerates it
* He's our little tattler. If someone has done something wrong, Ethan will stand to the side and point.
* Ethan loves to talk on the phone. He holds the phone (fake or real) with his cheek on his shoulder. When asked he always says he's talking to "mine nana".
* He has a special talent...Everyday when I come home from work I kick off my heels and Ethan grabs them and struts around the house. Walking successfully in my HIGH heels.
* Everything in Ethan's world is "MINE", if he sees it then it's his. Doesn't matter what it is, could be Kenna's cupee, but if you ask him its his.
No one can come between Ethan Bug and his "basgetti"...
Ethan prefers his basgetti in the form of bow-ties with hamburger and kielbasa. I love to watch him eat it, but I hate cleaning it! So therefore, basgetti night is always dads night to clean :-)
