Final Score: Boys 2, Girls 2

It's been a good week!

A three day weekend just wasn't enough! We had three whole days to enjoy with family and friends, so that's exactly what we did. Actually, our entire week was about hangin' out with the people we love! Here's a recap:

Monday night we had Bible study.

Tuesday night we went to dinner with Gillian, Charles and Christine.

Wednesday we went up to a bbq at Holly and Charlie's house.

Thursday Maddy left for the weekend, so Ryan and I watched a movie with Christian and hung out.

Friday we went to our friends Josh and Aurora's house for swimming and fireworks.

Saturday morning we went to Panera Bread with Eric and Roxanne for breakfast.

Saturday afternoon/evening Holly and Charlie came over and we played games and ate way to much mexican food.

Sunday Clint and Christina came over for a bbq and Makenna, Ethan and baby Dean played like crazy.

WHEW....

This week our schedule isn't quite as scattered.

Monday we have Bible Study, Tuesday nothing, Wednesday nothing, Thursday I have a work dinner, Friday night is girls Bunco night.

Maaahhh! Perfecto!

We had dinner last night at The Olive garden for Gillian's birthday and it was soooo YuMmY!

She suggested I try some chicken and tortellini dish that was delicious!

Our service was pretty cruddy, but the company and conversation made up for that detail. The kiddos played and colored and Ethan flirted. He was little "mister personality" carrying on with Charles and all the waiters.

After dinner and gifts we all ordered some Italian chocolate Gelato.

So, I'm thinking next time I'm just gonna order the Gelato and have dessert for dinner.

Nothing a band-aide can't fix

My best friend Holly had full blown knee surgery last week. She's finally hobbling around on her crutches, so she came by on Sunday.

Makenna was a little bit freaked out to see that Aunt Holly was hurt.

She questioned the bandages and crutches for a little while and then disappeared upstairs.

Soon she returned with a handful of strawberry short cake band-aides.

place them on top of Holly's ace bandage and then announced "OK, all better now".

Where's the beef?

We went to Mortons Steak House on Friday night with my parents and Eric and Roxanne. This was my dads treat for us ladies. Ryan and I had never been to Morton's so I was really looking forward to it! It's a fantsy restaurant in the dessert where everything is al-a-cart.

Once we were seated I asked where the menus are and my dad said "Oh, they just walk the cow by the table and you choose."

WHAT? Well not literally, but what they do do is roll a silver serving cart up to your table with all the raw cuts of meat, live lobsters, raw veggies and potato's on it and then you select your dinner for the chef to prepare. Roxanne freaked out when she realized that the lobster was alive with the tentacles moving every which way.

Ryan and I selected the special for two. It consisted of two filet mignon, 6 jumbo Parmesan garlic shrimps, fresh asparagus, broccoli with hollandaise sauce and baked potato. We paired our feast with a beer for him and a Mai Tai for me.

YUM....I ate until I had no more room to fit anything....that is until dessert. For dessert we had hot chocolate molten cake with raspberries and vanilla ice cream. Can you say Heaven?

Saturday morning when I woke up I was still miserably full. Thanks Dad.

Wow! How can they be so grown up?

Is it possible that my Neice and nephews are old enough for PrOm?!? Crap, I feel old....but not as old as my Brother and Sister, you guys are seriously old to have children going to prom. (It's fantastic to be the little sister, love you guys)

So two weeks ago my Nephew, Taylor and his buddy got dressed up in the "Zoot suites" and headed to prom. This kid has the best personality, you seriously have to know him to understand how he could pull such a thing off.

Apparently his date had a good personality to go along with this. She looked beautiful.

My oldest Nephew, Michael, decided to ditch Prom this year, but somehow my Sister managed to get a photo of the two boys together. Aren't they a handsome pair?

Then this past weekend my Neice, Vanessa also went to prom. Her Nana made cookies in honor of the big event.

I did her hair. I think she liked it? It was suppose to look like a photo she saw of Taylor Swift.

Her and her boyfriend looked so cute together in their hot pink formal wear.

Maddy was loving this whole "Prom" thing, she absorbed the idea and got a fancy new dress, Aunt Roxanne did her hair and makeup and she painted her toes hot pink in honor of Nessa.

Weekend re-cap

Went to a party at Michelle's house with Roxanne and bought way to much. Ate some yummy shrimp, avacado, mango salad....YUM...

I was dubbed the hair stylest for the day and did Vanessa's hair for prom. She found a photo of Taylor Swift in Peope Magazine and I attempted to copy it. She looked beautiful!

Got a phone call from a friends Mom who suggested she fly to Casa De Williams for her birthday in 3 weeks. I may need to start a count down!

Ryan and I went to dinner and a bar with a new group of friends. It was great conversation and much needed adult night out! Eric and Roxanne were able to joing us in between shuffling kids to and from prom.

This morning we slept in and then made a big breakfest. Afterwords, Kenna and I went to the grocery store and Ryan cleaned up. I planted some new flowers in the front yard. Ryan finished his term paper and his speech.

Tonight we're gonna hang out do Chili with Brayton and Gillian here at the house.

Alittle delayed

So I should have posted these sooner, but I just didn't! While in the hospital we took some pictures of my nephew, Michael, for the chicklings. I knew they wouldn't believe he was ok, if they didn't get a chance to see it with their own 8 eyes...

His surgery was in the town that Charles Schultz is from. So the hospital was decorated in "Peanuts" characters. So of course I made my other nephew, Taylor take a picture with the large Linoel statue outside.

Once we Michael got released from the hospital my parents, brother and I went to a quaint little pizzeria in a little wine town in Northern California. We ate in the living room of this house. Every room had restaurant seating and the food was amazing. The chef, Tony, could be seen in the open kitchen throwing the pizza dough up in the air!

In the midst of a ~~horrible day~~, no, horrible week at work, I just received a warm email from my sister about her sons surgery last week. I won't share all of it, but I'm positive she wouldn't mind if I did share some...

"Please express my heart felt thanks to all your friends (some that I don't even know) who read the blog, or heard via word of mouth for their prayers and positive thoughts. They didn't have to take the time, but they did. Everyone who sent their love enriched our lives. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. It meant more than I can ever express."

All better again

Just left the hospital and arrived at our little hole in the wall hotel and it's 10pm....What a long day! I don't think I've EVER seen 4am before and I'm pretty sure I don't wanna see it again!

Surgery went really good. Michael was such a trooper and very brave... Going into the procedure his pulse was 47 beats per minute and now after having the pacemaker for only a few short hours his pulse is 80! Amazing! Thank-God for modern medicine and good doctors! He hasn't eaten since yesterday at midnight so he's dying for In-N-Out burger. His order is a cheeseburger and a strawberry shake.

A good end to a long stressful day.
