Last night we had dinner with some of our good friends, then they came back to the house for a WILD game of Mexican train with the chicklings. We played for a few hours, giggling and telling jokes prolonging what we all knew had to happen. Willie and Anastacia are moving to Nashville, Tennessee on Friday and the kids are heartbroken.....So finally when the clock hit nine o'clock it was time to say our good-byes.
Christian and Madyson gave them hugs for what seemed like an eternity! Then as they were leaving Madyson grabbed Anastacia and said, "I have to give you a Nana hug!"
Anastacia wrapped her arms around my little girl and questioned, "What's a Nana hug?"
Madyson still tightly gripped on her said, "It's a special hug that I only give to Nana. I don't have very many big hugs so I save them all for her. But since your leaving I need to give you a special Nana hug."
Anastacia teared up and hugged Maddy back tight and said, "Thank-you Maddy I'll take a Nana hug anyday! I love you and we'll see you in a few months."
Maddy agreed.
Ok a few days have past, so I'll fill you in on the happenings here.
Thursday night my parents came over and babysat while Ryan and I went to dinner and a show! It was great! It doesn't happen very often, I think the last time we went to the show together was about 5 months ago when we both ditched work to hang out together. So thanks Mom and Dad, trust me the few hours out what much appreciated!!! We ate dinner at BJ's Brewhouse and then saw "Charlie Wilson's War", which was good, but more for a rental rather then $20.00 theater tickets!
Then Friday was Ryan's normal Friday off, so he went to the college to petition for Graduation in May! Yep, you heard correctly! There is in deed a end in sight! Woot! When he was done running around, he took all the chicklings to the local High School Basketball game ( our friend Willie is a coach), while I finished up my work day. Christian was facinated by the older boys playing, Maddy had her eyes glued on the Cheerleaders, while Miss Makenna Jean terrorized the team Mascot! I expect nothing less from that one!
This morning was Christian's first Basketball game and Madyson's first Cheer meet. They both did fantastically, photo's too follow. The courts were crowded and we actually have decent weather right now, so being outside felt like bliss.
Tonight we're going over to Holly and Charlies for some BBQ...
Last night my son broke my heart. We had some friends over and were playing a mad game of "Mexican Train" and telling jokes, when my friend says, "It's so neat how you guys are always telling jokes and kidding around with the kids. You both are so good about interacting with them. I like how you guys try and involve the kids in as much as possible." It was a great compliment! Then he asked from across the table, "Is hell a bad word in your house?" I said, "No not necessarily." He then proceeded to tell a joke to us, Christian and Maddy. It was,
"What do you get if you mix a rino and a elephant?" Our response, "What?" He answered, "hell-if-I-know!" Christian immediately said, "Really where do those live? I've never seen one?" We all started laughing.... Then I said I'm dreading the day that one of my boys tells a "Your Mama joke...The guys in my office do all the time and it drives me crazy!!" Christian then jumped up from the table and said, "Ooh, Ooh I know one, I know one!" I was stunned! Tears came to my eyes, as everyone else laughed. This is what came next:
"Your Mama's so fat she saw a school bus driving down the street and yelled, ooh twinkie!"
At that moment, my heart broke! I now realize that I am old. My boys will talk bad about me and all of their friends mothers, with continous "Your Mama" jokes. How depressing!
Today, October 29, 2007 at 3:15pm my baby turned 10! OK, I know he's my oldest, but, still my baby! I cannot believe 10 years ago today Christian was born. He's the tiny little baby who forever changed my life!
Over the weekend he had a Scary movie night to celebrate the event. There were 14 kids from 5:00pm until 10:00pm (not such a good idea, I was done at nine, Kicking myself that I wrote 10:30pm on the invitations!). They watched 2 movies, played twister, Disney scene it and hung out. Here are some pictures:
The scary decor, monster blood cake, Christian and Kayle waiting for the party, Aunt Stacey's coveted gift from Fedex, Balloon fight and gifts....
He had a great time, is excited to be "Double Digits"... Tonight we're doing cake and gifts for a family get together. He's $60.00 away from having enough to buy a WII, so he's anxious for tonight's gift's!
With the fires this going on, I haven't really written anything thats happened this week. So here you go in a nut shell:
* Our friends have come out in full force this week, We've gotten so many phone calls checking on my parents sanity due to the fires. You all are so fantastic!
* I have now completed my first week on my blood pressure medicine. I can defiantly tell a difference and the headaches have subsided.
* Ryan and I have been together 11 years today. It's strange to think I've been a part of the Williams Family for so long! Tomorrow we're having a date to celebrate!
* Christian's "scary movie party" is on Saturday, so we're gearing up for that. The house is Halloween from top to bottom. Yesterday Christian asked my coworker, April, to make sure his cake includes "monster slime" on it.
* Makenna told my niece last night that she quote "sucked"....Hum, no further comment on that one.
* Ryan got his big yellow truck started on Tuesday night! Scared the crap out of me, the house sounded like it was going to blow up!!! He was so proud, pictures to follow.
* I had lunch with an old girlfriend from highschool, Katie, on Tuesday. I had such a good time catching up on the years past. Her two little ones were with us, Lia and Sophie. So cute, Lia had a slurppe and kept getting a brain freeze!
* Played cranium again last night, the boys won again....
We had a girlie weekend. After our visit on Friday night with Liz, the rest of the weekend was all about us girls.
Ryan worked on his old truck both Saturday and Sunday...So Saturday I went to a friends Bridal Shower and after that went over and watched Vanessa get ready for the Homecoming dance....Wow, what a beauty!!! She had a fantastic time.
Then Sunday, Maddy and I did a little scrap-booking. We're working on some gifts for Christmas. We ended the weekend with family night dinner and a very competitive game of Cranium, guys verses girls. No comment on that one. Lets just say that the guys ended there 4 game losing streak, and only thanks to Vanessa's boyfriend.
