We dogsat (again) for my parents. This time for 9 Looonnnnggg days.
Sasha and Tiffany like coming over, but I'm pretty sure they don't like being carried around constantly, being pushed in a stroller, being dressed up in doll clothes or being terrorized every time they sit down by the littlest boy.
Over the weekend I rounded the corner to go into the living room to look for them when I saw this.
Then I realized, wait the white furry things are in there...
It occured to me to lock all four of them up and leave them in there, but before I could Ethan was DONE.
He promptly exited the dog cage and tried to lock Makenna and the puppies in there.
Is it possible that my Neice and nephews are old enough for PrOm?!? Crap, I feel old....but not as old as my Brother and Sister, you guys are seriously old to have children going to prom. (It's fantastic to be the little sister, love you guys)
So two weeks ago my Nephew, Taylor and his buddy got dressed up in the "Zoot suites" and headed to prom. This kid has the best personality, you seriously have to know him to understand how he could pull such a thing off.
Apparently his date had a good personality to go along with this. She looked beautiful.
My oldest Nephew, Michael, decided to ditch Prom this year, but somehow my Sister managed to get a photo of the two boys together. Aren't they a handsome pair?
Then this past weekend my Neice, Vanessa also went to prom. Her Nana made cookies in honor of the big event.
I did her hair. I think she liked it? It was suppose to look like a photo she saw of Taylor Swift.
Her and her boyfriend looked so cute together in their hot pink formal wear.
Maddy was loving this whole "Prom" thing, she absorbed the idea and got a fancy new dress, Aunt Roxanne did her hair and makeup and she painted her toes hot pink in honor of Nessa.
Aside from getting all dolled up, she also enjoyed the punch and yummy cookies from Nana Linda.
Went to a party at Michelle's house with Roxanne and bought way to much. Ate some yummy shrimp, avacado, mango salad....YUM...
I was dubbed the hair stylest for the day and did Vanessa's hair for prom. She found a photo of Taylor Swift in Peope Magazine and I attempted to copy it. She looked beautiful!
Got a phone call from a friends Mom who suggested she fly to Casa De Williams for her birthday in 3 weeks. I may need to start a count down!
Ryan and I went to dinner and a bar with a new group of friends. It was great conversation and much needed adult night out! Eric and Roxanne were able to joing us in between shuffling kids to and from prom.
This morning we slept in and then made a big breakfest. Afterwords, Kenna and I went to the grocery store and Ryan cleaned up. I planted some new flowers in the front yard. Ryan finished his term paper and his speech.

Never a dull quiet car ride in our family. This morning we went to pick up the trailer to get it ready for next weekends camping trip. While in route the chicklings were all telling jokes. Yep no radio necessary with our clan.
Ethan kept saying, "Mommy, Knock Knock?" and when I would reply, "Who's there?" He would giggle and say, "Mommy, Knock Knock?", over and over again. While this continuous Knock Knock job outplayed with no ending, Makenna says, "I got a funny one". "Your mama's so ugly she made the onions cry".
We all laughed, especially Ryan. I can't seem to warm up to "your mama" jokes. Questions is...if she's this sassy at 3, what will 13 and every dreaded age there after be like?
Roxanne and Vanessa picked up Little Miss Madyson and I bright and early this morning for a day of.....
SHOPPING!
The four of us made a day of it. An eight hour trip to the Jessica McClintock store and then onto the Mall. We got lost in Macy's for a few hours and then walked the interior of the mall, shopping at Forever 21, Pacsun, Anchor Blue, Claries and Icing. We were on a mission for a PrOm DrEsS for Vanessa. She must have tried on 80 or so dresses today and we finally narrowed it down to two different ones.
So what does a girl do wth a delima like this? Buy both of course!!
She purchased a hot pink one and a royal blue one. Stunning, absolutely stunning. The kid has amazing skin tone and long dancer legs, so everything looked stunning on her.
Mission complete, so next we moved onto general dress shopping for Madyson. She picked out 20 or so dresses and the four of us hit the dressing rooms. She twirled and swayed and giggled alot while trying each one on. She finally decided on a hot pink, red and light pink polk-a-dot dress that is very swishy.

Friday night the kids had their awards ceremony for Basketball and Cheer-leading. The Church had a juggler there who was fantastic. He juggled balls, pins and flaming sticks! After the awards the chicklings wanted Tiki Hut, so we went and got some frozen yogurt. Madyson chose mango flavor with Reese's on top. Weird little child...
Yesterday Christian went to his "girlfriend" Malanie's swim party and had a really good time. Apparently he was the only boy invited, except for Melanie's brothers, so he was in Heaven with all the girls. I went to my girlfriend, Cheryl's, bridal shower. She looked beautiful, but I really can't stand showers. It was stuffy and boring. They played the typical shower games and opened gifts. Next, all 6 of us went to Willie and Anastacia's going away party. They will be moving to Tennessee on Friday :(
This morning I cleaned the house and at 2, we're going to another Birthday party. Makenna said she wanted to go to the party alone, so she's gonna walk. Hum, not sure those little legs would get very far!
Watched our niece's color-guard performance at the local highshool (she was gorgeous)
Ryan went to a car auction
I scrapbooked and hung out with the little chicklings
Went to the Tiki Hut (Frozen Yogart) with my mom and kids. It was ok, not as good as Golden Spoon though
Got Joey some more worms to eat, tonight he'll feast!
Went to the schools pancake breakfast and bookfair
Hung out, had pizza and watched a movie at Holly and Charlie's house
Ate at CPK, my favorite
Braved a trip to the overly crowed-all-the-time Costco for some groceries
Purchased Julia a new pink and fur doggie jacket (photos to follow)
Christian finally spent his last gift card from his birthday in October! He bought the Spiderwick Cronicals and some other books
Ryan let me sleep in until 9:00!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! I woke up to the delicious smell of coffee with carmel vanilla creamer! YUM! Then I came downstairs and realized he made breakfast too!
Babysat my nephew Grant, who has a new fetish. PoTaTo'S. Stange, gotta know him to get it :)
Put songs on my MP3 Player for the first time. What talent!
Watched the Nascar Race
Cut Madyson some much desired bangs and trimmed Christian's surfer mop
I love long weekends! Not because we do anything to overly exciting, but because we have 4 whole days together! Pure family time. This time allows for alot of talking, laughing and cuddling.
Friday night after work I swung by the house and picked up all the little chicklings and went to the grocery store. The first stop inside was at the bakery counter for cookies! Yum. After shopping we came home and ate takeout picnic style on the family room floor and watched, "The Little Mermaid." (This weeks family night movie was Madyson's choice)
Saturday Ryan, his dad, my Dad and my Brother went out of town to a car show. Ryan entered his White 1970 Chevy Truck and my dad entered his 1966 Corvette Stingray. The kids and I went to their Basketball games and then came home and some friends came over and hung out. My girlfriend, Anastacia was playing with Makenna teasing her and Makenna told her, "Stacia, your freakin' me out". Maddy went to her first slumber party and partied until 2am.
Sunday was the DAYTONA 500. We had a houseful and BBQ'd while we watched the race. The last 10 laps were better then the whole race. Next, we ventured off to the normal family night dinner. This week it was at my brothers house. Eric BBQ'd ribs and then we all played Scene It Music. I'm ashamed to admit that the men won (again). Although Roxanne and Makenna both did great renditions of Salsa dancing.
This morning started off with a massive fort building by Ryan. He draped the whole family room in white sheets and the kids have been playing in their fort like crazy. I'm headed to lunch and the movies with my Mom and Roxanne to see 21 dresses. This will be my Moms big outing since her surgery, so it's a exciting day! After we get done, Ryan and I are gonna take the kids down to play some tennis and soak up this beautiful day.
Last weekend we Dog sat for my parents two furry things that they call dogs. (Ryan says their Rats with fur) I was kind of dreading it, because there just puppies. And puppies do puppy things... Sasha is 8 months...
and little Tiffany is only 11 weeks or somewhere right around there...
But moments after my parents dropped "The girls" off I quickly realized, this dog sitting thing is FANTASTIC! Why? Because the Dog's actually "Kid Sat"... The kids never put them down, the dogs kept them occupied for three days! Like when Maddy had baby Tiffany is a shopping cart Or when Makenna was playing on her Vtech computer at the bar in the kitchen, where was Tiffany? Right beside her sitting at the bar too... Although my favorite was when I found Ethan in the front living room sitting in his little recliner kissing Tiffany...
