Last night Ryan and I went to PF Changes for a delicious dinner for 2. I love dinner for 2 because the conversation doesn't need to be censored. Theres no need to talk in code or spell anything, just talk.
We ordered a ton of food followed by two little "shots" of dessert in shot glasses. After dinner we wondered around the outdoor shopping area, up and down the brick lined streets hand-in-hand.
Then we came home, put the Movie FIREPROOF in the dvd player and snuggled down on the couch.
Tonight- DRUNKO BUNCO....I've been in a bunco group for about a year and a half which is really fun. Last years group ended and this years group is composed of some wildly fun girls! Infact these past 3 months have been pretty crazy! Thus is the name "drunko bunco".
Tomorrowr- we're taking the kids to see the Toy Story double feature during the day and then we're having a DATE NIGHT! Yahoo!!! I adore date nights with my handsome husband!
Sunday- Ryan will be float building with our Niece Vanessa, while the kids and I walk around the Gardens. Then we're trying a Sunday night church service.
My brother and Roxanne introduced us to a game called "Spoons" and we are so addicted! Now anytime we have company over it turns into a Spoon game, ok, scratch that. It turns into a all out WAR with spoons.
Last night Charlie and Holly were over and we taught them how to play. We managed to get really involved and played until after midnight. I won 2 of the three hands.
Holly was so tense, my palms were sweating, its kinda ridiculous how competitive we each are!
After electrician searching for 3 months we finally found 1 and now are enjoying the chill from the newly hung ceiling fan above the couch in the family room.
Awwwwww, so worth the wait and the investment!
We're in route back home after having a great family vacation for the past 10 days.
We lounged on the beach. Did some sightseeing. Plays tons of games. Shopped. Ate at some delicious restaurants. Saw many stars. And are brings home a new pet, or should I say...pets?
Driving home sucks, not only because we're leaving the beach, but because we're headed back to the heat. Headed back to unpack. To do the laundry. Do the grocery shopping. Pack Christian for surf camp. Head back to reality.
Friday we took the kids to Kids Pace (a hands on's kids museum at the Rose Bowl) and had such a good time! Heres our day in pics.....
Opps...somehow pics of Ethan got in there too. But look what a big boy he was!Sunday morning, I got to sleep in until 9:00 a.m. (thankyou Ryan) and when I awoke, I read the sales ads from the paper, while Ryan read the sports section and Maddy along with the two babies layed on the floor gathered around the comics. What a great start to the day, huh?
After a while of just absorbing the laughter of my children I headed to the back yard to check on the ever growing garden. Who would have thought we would be able to grow such a magnificent sprawling lush green garden at our suburbia track house!
Ryan and I checked on our plants one by one. First the chilli peppers
Then over to the tomato's, which happen to be bursting with tomato's!
I peeked at the chives and cilantro on my way to the yellow squash.
Next were the strawberries and although the leafs are bright green there's still no sign of anything red. So onto the zucchini I went
Yikes! This one was getting huge, so Ryan cut it off for dinner, yum!
Lastly I checked on the corn stalks and which are growing pretty tall, not too sure if Nick next door will like it when they've grown taller then the fence! Oh, and the green bean vines are so pretty, they have grown and intertwined with the garden fence.
I have so much to talk about and have taken so many picturs to share from the last three days...
So stay tuned....
Right now I'm going to go play dollies with Makenna and then I need to run some errands before my date with my husband tonight!
Summer is here and we are in full swing summer mode! Schools out, swimming lessons have begun and vacations are planned....
Our schedules and always packed and there's never a dull moment with four children. Our weekends consist of bbqs, friends, family, celebrations and very rarely is there time to stop and breathe. But, you know what? I love it! I love constantly being surrounded with things to do, people to meet and fun to be had!
So, this week and weekend are no different. Ryan had four nights of summer school, Maddy went to two sleep overs, the babies had swim lessons twice, the kids and I worked on a "secret project" with a good friend, I walked two nights with Michelle and now onto the weekend. Tonight Holly, Charlie and their girls are coming over to hang out and have dinner. Tomorrow my mother-n-law is taking the two little ones to a craft thing, while we take the two older kids bed shopping for Christian. Sunday my husbands family is coming over to celebrate a belated fathers day and Maddy birthday combo and then Monday night we're going to my brothers to celebrate our cousins two June bithdays with a bbq and swimming.
See what I mean. The calander is always full. We are so blessed with a houseful of children, good friends close by and tons of family!
